

I myself got into the habit of severe over training and deficit, maintaing a year round 13% bodyfat with no period - to actually get my metabolism to 2000-2300 calories a day at 17%, I had to put on body fat initially. Yes! Bodies are a weird thing, the science behind metabolism I think can be very complex.

It’s partly due to how much muscle you build too. Well I weight train & it took me around 2 years to get my metabolism be at 2100 calories. Does else feel like her face looks SUPER strange recently? Like something about around her mouth. Maybe she's underestimating what she eats?Īnyways. When I increase my calories I gain weight so fast. I'm 5'2", 118 lbs and I maintain on 1400 and I'm very active. I don't know guys, I feel like I see a lot of people eaing 2000+ calories to maintain when they're short and that sounds like a lot to me. How tall and heavy is Whit again? I forgot. But, I just know that when I lower my maintenance calories for a while to and then increase them by a few hundred my body responds to that. I did get a body fat analysis as part of my annual physical, when I was 135ish and it said BMR 1,500 and AMR 2,100 so I'm thinking the scale isn't that far off. Granted I'm just using a $35 body fat scale from Target so idk how accurate it is I'm 5'4" about 120lb and my BMR is around 1,400 and AMR 1,900. And if she lays off on some of the cardio and hiit that will benefit her "surplus" too.

She was prob used to eating lower calories (didn't she eat around 1,500 in a diff FDOE video?) so technically 1,900 would be a surplus. But I guess if her body is used to maintaining on lower calories her body may respond to 1900 as a surplus. maybe I shouldn’t be comparing but I’m 5’3 and would guess ~10lbs less than whit and maintain on higher calories than that so for her height that just seems low to me. and was pleasantly surprised that she seemed to be committing to it, until the end when she said she was comfortable eating about “1900 calories” as a “surplus”.
